Ballet Folklorico Fuego de Phoenix

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

General Information

Ballet Folklorico Fuego de Phoenix was created to serve the Greater Phoenix community through its adult and children’s dance programs. It is Ballet Folklorico Fuego de Phoenix's mission to educate students about Mexico’s rich heritage through a curriculum grounded in ballet folklorico and to promote cultural awareness in the community.

Students learn about Mexico’s dance origins, including the significance of music, costumes and dance moves within the context of regional or national history. Students are taught a variety of physical skills, including body coordination, flexibility, and stamina, and gain enhanced self-esteem.

Ballet Folklorico Fuego de Phoenix accepts students as young as two years old. Based on age or dance ability, children move from the beginning to the intermediate classes, and then to more advanced classes.

Ballet Folklorico Fuego de Phoenix  runs from August to June with fall, winter and spring breaks.

Ballet Folklorico Fuego de Phoenix requires its students to come prepared to class and performances in uniform regularly with minimum absences.  We maintain a strict attendance policy for all students. This is done to promote student discipline and group unity. Additional information on class uniform and required practice materials can be found here.

Ballet Folklorico Fuego de Phoenix requires all members to perform in all performances with minimum absences.

Costumes, accessories, and props for performances must be purchased by the family to perform.
