Ballet Folklorico Fuego de Phoenix was created to serve the Greater Phoenix community through its adult and children’s dance programs. It is Ballet Folklorico Fuego de Phoenix's mission to educate students about Mexico’s rich heritage through a curriculum grounded in ballet folklorico and to promote cultural awareness in the community.
Students learn about Mexico’s dance origins, including the significance of music, costumes and dance moves within the context of regional or national history. Students are taught a variety of physical skills, including body coordination, flexibility, and stamina, and gain enhanced self-esteem.
